Parental Controls Short explination on the 2 versions of parental controls Type 1 turn "Parental controls" to true in the redefined-options.xsl file set your password in the "Parental-password" in the redefined-options.xsl file. Set your childs age in: <!–Index Option #10: This sets where parental controls start, Just enter you’re childs age, and it will filter out all movies higher then his age allows–> When you goto any movie rated higher then the child-age variable in the index and click enter, it will prompt you for a password. If you enter the one you gave in redefined-options.xsl it will goto the movie page. If not it will tell you the password is wrong and do nothing. Also, if this is turned on, the page up/down feature will be removed from movie pages so kids can’t go from one page to the next. | Type 2 Set Parental-controls to false in the redefined-options.xsl Set Parental-controls-type2 to true in the redefined-options.xsl file Set your password in "parental-password-type2" in the redefined-options.xsl file. Set your childs age in: <!–Index Option #10: This sets where parental controls start, Just enter you’re childs age, and it will filter out all movies higher then his age allows–> In this version when you browse to a movie in the index rated higher then the age given in redefined-options.xsl hitting enter will do nothing. The only way to get into that movie will be to type the password. (like a tvid) |
Searching
Step 1. From the index push the menu button on your remote (user changeable in redefined-options.xsl)
Step 2. type in your search.
Step 3. The index will rearrange itself to show you all the results of your search
Step 4. Press the menu button again to return to all movies in the index.
Repeat as desired.
Notes on searching:
a) The search is index specific. If you search your action movies it will only search amungst the action movies…all index, all movies.
b)If you type in 1 letter, it will search amungst the first letters of your titles. Example. If you’re in the action index, and you search for b. It will show you all of your action movies starting with "b".
c)If your search is 2 letters or more it will search the entire title. So if you search for "cak" it will return "Layer Cake"
